Candela Vbeam Prima Pulsed-Dye Laser System
Candela Vbeam Prima Pulsed-Dye Laser System advanced pulsed-dye laser (PDL) and Nd:YAG used by healthcare providers all over the world to treat a variety of indications for both face and body, including benign vascular, pigmented, and certain non-pigmented lesions, with high patient tolerability and a low incidence of side effects.
The technology
The Vbeam Prima is a highly efficient PDL that offers two treatment wavelengths, 595 and 1064 nm (ND:Yag), used for 20+ indications. The proprietary 595 nm wavelength deeply penetrates the skin to reach targeted blood vessels. Its energy is absorbed by oxyhemoglobin to coagulate and clear vessels with more tolerability and fewer instances of melanin absorption. The 1064 nm wavelength lets you treat blue veins, venous lakes, and wrinkles.
Vbeam Prima device features a larger max treatment spot size and greater max energy with 595 nm. That adds up to faster, more efficient treatments. A session that so far required 100 pulses with a 12mm spot size now requires less than 64 pulses with a 15mm spot size.
Benefits
Reduces redness and visible blood vessels
Diminishes acne scars and discoloration, and has been proven to diminish inflammatory acne
Helps clear vascular birthmarks such as port wine stains and can be used safely on children
Improves tone and texture for brighter, healthier-looking skin
Stimulates collagen for ongoing skin renewal
Quick treatments with minimal discomfort and downtime
Pulsed-Dye Laser
Pulsed-dye laser (PDL) concentrates a beam of light to deliver them deeper into skin. The light is converted to heat, which is absorbed by the blood vessels or the pigmented cells on skin. This helps remove damaged blood vessels and pigmented cells so your body can flush them out. PDL is not only safe for treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions. It can be used to remove or reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and wrinkles as well.
Two Wavelengths
Vbeam Prima uses two different wavelengths that can reach different layers of skin. These two wavelengths are 595nm and 1064nm wavelength. The 595nm wavelength is mainly used to target blood vessels. The concentration of energy heats up blood vessels and removes them without causing damage to surrounding tissue. The 1064nm wavelength can clear up blue veins, venous lakes, and even wrinkles. These wavelengths allow the machine to work on a variety of indications including stretch marks.
