Excellent quality fundus image

Capable of capturing fundus images through a pupil diameter as small as 2.0mm*, it provides sharp, detailed colour fundus images in dark and brightly lit rooms.

Ease of use

Alignment, focusing, shooting, and movement between the right and left eye are operated automatically with a single touch, making the NW500 easy to operate.

Panoramic wide-field photography

In peripheral photography mode, it is possible to create a wide panorama image with an approximately 90-degree angle of view (approx. 132.3 degrees at the spherical centre of the eye.

By displaying the left and right images side-by-side for stereoscopic viewing, it is possible to observe the shape and depression of the optic nerve head, as well as the state of compression and traction.

Space-saving

The touch panel monitor offers 360 degrees of rotation, giving the operator the flexibility to capture fundus photography from virtually any position. The small footprint of the device means it can be installed virtually anywhere, allowing for optimal use of the examination room.

The 12-megapixel image sensor delivers sharp and consistent images, while the slit scan illumination and rolling shutter mechanism further enhance the NW500’s image quality, enabling the camera to overcome the issue of images unsuitable for grading, thereby streamlining the diagnostic workflow. Even in well-lit conditions, the NW500 can deliver images with less flare and shadow than its predecessor, the TRC-NW400.
